A Gift From the Gods

For centuries and millenia, scholars and laymen alike have been trying to find the cradle of magic, to explore its past and understand its progress. But the question is: where to look? How to describe it, even? It is the most self-contradictory force known to mankind. It can kill, but it can also heal - it can create, but it can also destroy.

What, I ask, does such a force look like? Where may we encounter this invisible but, oh, so palpable power? Magic is just this: magic. Magic is what it is, one might say. The magnificient, the mightiest, and the most marvelous gift of the gods. A most divine boon that all weavers and casters should call themselves lucky to have received. A sacred energy that only a select few are able to wield.
