Rituals of the Order of Fire

History of Innos's chosen - the magicians of fire.

Text

The Trial

Should a novice not be chosen, yet still feel within his heart the readiness to submit himself to the Trial of Magic, then, if this decision be well considered and firmly held, it is granted unto him to demand the trial, and no mage may deny him. Yet it is not the Trial of Magic alone that shall be laid upon him, but through the fire shall he seek his illumination. Should he persist, then let the Trial of Fire be granted unto him.

Only the Highest Fire Mage holds the authority to determine the manner, the number, and the order of the trials to which a novice shall be subjected. In this he may be aided by a council of his choosing. In all trials, the abilities and maturity of the novice must be weighed, as well as the circumstances that prevail.

If the novice endures and overcomes all trials, then shall he swear the Oath of the Flame and enter in the covenant with the fire.

Thus is it the will of Innos, and thus shall it be done.
