A Song of Repentance

O, the vow that me made, how it lit up our hearts.

How they burned, how they raced - now they're numb and they're dark.

And we tainted the blood of the bond that we sealed

With the love that we wasted on envy and greed.

Just how driven we were by the bright age ahead,

But it turned into longing for something that's dead.

Well, the days of our unity - long are they gone,

And what's left of them are but these few lines of song.
