His writings have been consulted for ages and his advice is considered the best of its kind, namely: the art of hunting. Following the great battles in the north, everyone became familiar with the bow as a weapon. But that's not all it is. It's a tool that needs a different set of rules to be followed. Other than a soldier on the battlefield, game is both timid and unpredictable.

Using a bow for hunting doesn't just hark back to some obsure ancient tradition. It's the most common form of hunting. The techniques applied to the traditional hunt barely changed over the course of thousands of years, and it's unlikely they'll change in the future. Still, a hunter should always ask himself the following question: What are the circumstances, and how do they influence the way of hunting with a bow? Being able to recognize these patterns is what makes the difference between function and art.
