Elementry Arcanum

Concerning the Station of Magick within the Fabric of the World.

Much has been enquired on the subject of Magick, and the place it holds amongst the Elements. With good reason may it be contended, that Magick itself may be accounted the most absolute Element. For it possesses the power to transfigure and to fashion all the Elements, and thereby does show itself manifestly superior unto them.

Now a conjunction of Element and Magick brings forth each Element in its most uncorrupted form, and thus, in certain rare places, such natural unions are found, and they are considered exceedingly precious. Moreover, the feats whereby a Magus seemingly summons the Elements out of nought are proof sufficient, that the Magickal Virtue is the most pure and most high Good that ever was or shall be.
